Description
Brice Trouillet (Full Professor at Nantes Université) specializes in social geography of the ocean. His research deals with the dynamics of human activities at sea (especially relationships between OWFs and fisheries) and ocean governance (marine planning). Building on STS and Critical data studies, he has been focusing on socio-technical controversies dealing with the sharing of maritime space (fisheries, wind farms, MPAs...), seen through information challenges and associated power issues. Among several projects, he holds the Maritime Chair on human activities at sea and marine planning (Nantes Université). He lectures on ocean governance and on geography of fisheries at Nantes University, where he also supervizes young researchers (master students, PhD, post-doc).
