2025 editionOctober 21th, Athens

The 3rd edition of the Greek Offshore Renewable Energy Conference gathered more than 190 participants at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens on October 21, 2025. With 35+ speakers, 17 countries represented, and 2 industrial site visits to EMEK and Skaramangas Shipyards, the event brought together international experts, policymakers, and industry leaders around a shared goal: accelerating the energy transition in the Mediterranean through the deployment of offshore wind. The event also offered networking and discussion sessions for all participants, a valuable opportunity to come together despite the challenges of the local early-stage market.

Leading players such as PPC Renewables, WindEurope, HEREMA, Terna Energy, HELLENiQ Energy, Plenitude, Filhet-Allard Maritime and several Mediterranean ports shared strategic insights drawn from major offshore developments across Europe and Greece.

The 2025 edition also stood out for its enhanced collaboration with Business France, which extended the momentum by organizing a networking reception at the French Embassy in Athens, followed by a dedicated B2B session offering qualified business meetings between French and Greek companies. 

2024 editionNovember 14th, Athens

The second edition of the Greek Offshore Renewable Energy Conference, held on November 14, 2024, in Athens, gathered 200 experts to accelerate the development of offshore wind in Greece. Organized by Bluesign, INTEC, and Akrocean, the event fostered dialogue between Greek and European stakeholders, focusing on regulatory frameworks, investment opportunities, and supply chain challenges.

Key industry players, including Motor Oil Renewable Energy, Oxan Energy, PPC Renewables, Iberdrola, and Hitachi Energy, shared insights from European projects. Speakers emphasized the importance of early partnerships and cross-border collaboration to drive local industrial development. With Greece preparing to meet its ambitious offshore wind targets, Bluesign and its partners remain committed to supporting the country’s energy transition.

2023 editionOctober 19th, Athens

The first GreekOffshoreEnergy Conference, co-organized by Bluesign, Intec, and Akrocean, gathered 130 stakeholders from 12 European countries on October 18-19, 2023, to support the emergence of Greece’s offshore renewable energy sector. The event fostered networking and knowledge exchange, laying the groundwork for Greece’s offshore wind sector.

With HEREMA’s target of 2 GW by 2030, discussions focused on market potential, regulatory challenges, and industrial opportunities. Key players, including SBM Offshore, DEME, and Nantes Saint-Nazaire Port, shared insights from major European projects like Provence Grand Large and Saint-Nazaire Wind Farm. Participants also visited Elefsis Shipyards to explore infrastructure plans for offshore wind.
