Dr. Flora Karathanasi is the Offshore Wind Programme Lead at HEREMA S.A., carrying extensive professional and research experience. She began her studies at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), from where she received a B.Sc. degree in Rural and Surveying Engineering, and continued her academic career at the same university acquiring M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine and Ocean Science & Technology. Since 2014, she has worked as a Researcher at the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) and the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI). In addition to her role at HEREMA S.A., she is also a Visiting Researcher at CMMI. Dr. Karathanasi has participated in numerous EU- and Greek-funded research projects, has over 25 peer-reviewed publications, and is a regular reviewer for major journals and conference publications.
