Finley Walters is a European energy advisor supporting legal teams across the renewable energy sector, from developing unique contractual solutions to advising on global team structuring. His perspective is shaped by a background in private practice, alongside continued academic study in international and corporate energy law.
Working for funds, IPPs and platform operators, he ensures the appropriate frameworks and structures are in place for legal teams to operate at full capability. This position gives him a distinctive vantage point from which to draw conclusions across otherwise isolated global events and identify patterns in the evolution of energy operators and markets. This exposure has seen him involved in multiple offshore and floating wind projects around the UK. He aims to share insights into their key challenges as well as the opportunities being identified across the region.
